LAFLAUNCE ENDORSES ATTICUS GLADSTONE FOLLOWING PONAMU PRIMARY
PONAMU - As a result of the overwhelming victory by Conservative Families Party nominee Atticus Gladstone in the Ponamu Primary Election this past Thursday, incumbent Premiere Seswitch LaFlaunce officially endorsed Gladstone the morning following the election. "He's an excellent candidate, and I support him in his campaign," said LaFlaunce, when asked about his endorsement. Upon learning of his latest and greatest high-profile supporter, Gladstone remarked, "I'm very thankful for the endorsement by our great Premiere, Seswitch LaFlaunce." He continued, "LaFlaunce has used his position fruitfully and respectably, and I hope to be able to begin wherever he leaves off."
Gladstone will next be seen debating alongside other candidates next Tuesday night as the Tzo'taku primary takes place in Paraminz'tra.

TZO'TAKU PRIMARY RESULTS: GLADSTONE TOPS POLLS AGAIN
TZO'TAKU - Atticus Gladstone cemented his position as preferred premiere candidate tonight as the citizens of Paraminz'tra voted overwhelmingly in his favor. Despite in impassioned and emotional speech by Liberal Democratic Party candidate Natali'ana Harrington, Gladstone still came out on top. Paraminz'tra is known historically for leaning toward CFP candidates, and that trend still proved to be true tonight.
The candidates will back in action Thursday night at the Jisada Primary, which is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm GDT. Gladstone, Harrington, and Stanfordshire are all slated to make an appearance.
TZO'TAKU PRIMARY RESULTS
ATTICUS GLADSTONE (CFP): 78.5% NATALI'ANA HARRINGTON (LDP): 16.2% JUSTINIAN STANFORDSHIRE (LDP): 2.1% ALL OTHER CANDIDATES: 3.2%

VULKARIA TO COMPLETE PASS CANAL; MALVARE THREATENS MILITARY ACTION
VULKAR - Yesterday afternoon, the government of Vulkaria voted to complete construction of the Vulkarian Pass Canal after decades of continual fiscal efforts and allocation of international funds to the project. The canal, upon completion, would be about 45 miles in length. However, in a potentially dangerous move that could threaten the currently peaceful condition of the Coalition, the government of Malvare has threatened immediate military action if the canal is completed. Reasons for this include perceived potentially detrimental side effects to the economy of Malvare, due to the nation's position directly along current busy international trade routes. Malvare's leaders claim these trade routes would be negatively affected by the Vulkarian Pass Canal, claims which lack support from current international economic trends, and are strictly opposed to the project.
In a press conference from Mönusÿnthys, Premiere Seswitch LaFlaunce confirmed Gladysynthia's support of Vulkaria. Other Coalition member nations have followed suit, including Baytonia and Zamastan. Premiere LaFlaunce also announced plans to meet with Vulkarian leader Farhen Brooks along with Zamastanian President Foley Sakzi later this week to discuss matters of security and to potentially offer Gladysynthian military support as added security surrounding the construction site.
This is an ongoing story and will be updated as new information arrives.

NATIONAL TEAM OPENS WORLD CUP CAMPAIGN WITH 1-0 WIN OVER MALVARE
HEIMDAHL'IA - Despite a lack of excitement in an overall underwhelming match, the Gladysynthian men's national team came out victorious after an 81' goal from striker Louis Cordova. It was the lone goal of the entire match, but it proved to be enough as the Malvarian side failed to equalize in the remaining nine minutes plus stoppage time. Said head coach Marvin Hedgewick after the win: "I'm proud of the players. They came together today and did what they needed to do. It might not have been the most flashy victory, but it got us through to the next round. That's all that matters now."
The goal was Cordova's 56th in international play and 249th for club and country.
The national team will play the winner of the first-round match between Ruskayn and Tinten, which takes place this afternoon at Estadio Concustodio in Heimdahl'ia.

"HAVE AN UMBRELLA HANDY," GLADYSYNTHIAN WEATHER EXPERTS PREDICT RAINY SUMMER
MÖNUSŸNTHYS - The National Weather Service has released its annual vernal severe weather outlook, and Gladysynthia's top meteorologists are predicting a well above average amount of precipitation this summer. "You might want to have an umbrella handy in your car, because it's going to rain a lot," noted Rafael Littleton, head meteorologist at Gladysynthia's National Storm Prediction Center. Littleton explained that the main cause of the predicted influx of precipitation is a current El Nino phenomenon, or an unseasonable warming of equatorial ocean currents. This phenomenon has been linked to increased precipitation and severe weather in meteorological trends for decades. "We're preparing for a summer that should be filled with atmospherical instability and increased humidity as a result of tropical weather patterns, which often serve as ample fuel for the development of supercell thunderstorms and other severe weather, such as large hail and straight-line winds." Littleton says that the SPC is expecting above-average potential for severe weather of all facets throughout the summer, and are working on briefing and preparing the public for such occurrences.

JISADA PRIMARY RESULTS: GLADSTONE BY NARROWEST MARGIN YET
JISADA - Atticus Gladstone has been the favored candidate so far, but tonight's primary election in the nation's religious capital showed that he is far from being guaranteed the premiership. All of the leading candidates showed strength in speaking and supporting their side, and the results weren't as steep as prior elections in Ponamu or Tzo'taku. When the polls closed at 9:00 pm, CFP candidate Atticus Gladstone held a comfortable lead, with LDP candidates Natali'ana Harrington and Justinian Stanfordshire coming in a relatively close second and third. Despite originally hailing from Asa'aria, Stanfordshire lacked the expected amount of support that election analysts predicted the candidate's home province would grant him. If Stanfordshire remains in the premiership race deep into May, the Fvas'zahar and Danaska primaries should give a clearer picture as to whether or not he will be able to turn the tide.
JISADA PRIMARY RESULTS Atticus Gladstone (CFP): 44.3% Natali'ana Herrington (LDP): 35.9% Justinian Stanfordshire (LDP): 16.8% All Others: 3.0%
